American author Terri Donald is accusing well known filmmaker Tyler Perry of jacking the plot of her 2007 book, "Bad Apples Can Be Good Fruit," for his 2012 movie, "Good Deeds." The author sued Perry in Philadelphia federal court on Tuesday, seeking $225,000 and her name in the movie's credits.

Represetnatives for Tyler Perry and Lions Gate Entertainment, who was also named in the lawsuit, declined to comment. The movie made $35 million at the box office back in February.
