Legendary Bears coach Mike Ditka suffered a minor stroke on Friday, according to multiple reports. The beloved sports figure was hospitalized after having difficulty speaking while playing cards with a group of friends on Friday.

Ditka is now recovering in the hospital and sent out a message to calm worried fans, saying "I feel good right now and it's not a big deal.

ESPN NFL producer Seth Markman and the network's publicist Mike Humes both tweeted about Ditka's stroke.

Markman revealed, "Coach Ditka is going to be fine. He did suffer a minor stroke tonight. Won't be on the shows this wknd. He wanted everyone to know he's ok." Humes added, "ESPN's Mike Ditka did suffer minor stroke tonight. He's going to be fine though he will not appear on our shows this wknd."

Markman also gave an update on Ditka's status on Saturday morning, revealing "Coach Ditka update: Feeling even better this am. Humbled by overwhelming support. Hopes to be released from hospital Sunday to watch NFL."
