Singer Rihanna is doing her part to support those who were affected by super-storm Hurricane Sandy. While at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in New York City Friday night, Rihanna held an album pre-release party for her upcoming LP "Unapologetic". During the festivities, she was able to give back to many people who were in need and encouraged several others to do the same.

Many of Rihanna's fans followed her gesture after she donated up to 1,000 sleeping bags for The Daily News' relief effort. Several others began bringing clothing, blankets, and cleaning supplies, and all of these items will be delivered to severely hit areas on Saturday. The singer even had a few words to say to The Daily News.

"Hurricane Sandy has deeply affected the lives of millions all across the Eastern Seaboard. Now is the time for us to come together and do whatever we can to aid those in need."
