Young Jeezy recently shot the video for his latest single, "Get Right," in the streets of Macon, GA. This is the first single he will be putting out off of his currently untitled new album.
First of all, I am flattered to have snaepwd a debate among such a distinguished group of young gentlemen (although I use that term loosely). Secondly, to be fair, my list was a list of my favorites (not the objectively best top seven hip hop songs ever) and I could have made that a little more clear. Nonetheless, I applaud your efforts. My thoughts in no particular order:- Pac, Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube and the like have shown up on numerous lists and while I agree that they all hold an important place in hip hop history, they have never quite resonated with me (I think its probably because I am white girl from the Midwest and I have a difficult time relating to their stories). However, I will say that Pac's Hail Mary is pretty high on my list.- The only thing keeping Hypnotize off of my Top Seven list is the fact that I feel like it is incredibly overplayed (just behind Mo Money, Mo Problems, Gin and Juice and California Love) although, to be fair, we cannot punish Biggie because a bunch of mediocre DJ's feel it necessary to overplay his shit. I digress.- Mos Def is one of the most forgotten rappers (at least, in my mind) but I do love his vibe. I had never heard Respiration but I love it. It makes me want to post up in some grimy underground club somewhere and just bob my head. Touche9.- Eminem: I have never loved Stan but it is one of his best; Lose Yourself, on the other hand, I have always loved. I think I listened to that song before every volleyball game my junior year in college. My favorite Eminmen track of all time, however, is probably The Way I Am. To me, its his best, most passionate and aggressive. I love it. Aiyo turn the beat up a little bit.- Coolio Gangsta's Paradise showed up on another list and I completely agree. It was probably the first rap song I knew every word to. It was really iconic for its era. However, we met Coolio in LA two summers ago. He is maybe 5'6 . After that, I couldn't quite look at him the same way.Nice work, B. Maxwell. Nice work.
Jeezy grew up and being coached by billionaires and millionaires. Why go to this dirty ass nigga Gucci level. Guess who going to be broke in 2 yrs? Gucci! Yall niggas got a mind of a fucking 2yr old. People change , you should to dumb ass niggas. Get Educated!
jeezy dont know wat the fuck to do. look at his ass . this mf know damn well he need to retire and stop making his fuckn fans say dumb shit like "lyrically gucci cant fuck wit jeezy and jeezy dont need to respond to gucci... yall know jeezy aint keepn that shit real wit his fans and if he keep it up he gonna turn into another mf "ja rule" laughing myblackassoff
I like jeezy music better but i feel as far as being legitimate n the streets gucci has da advantage, we knw gucci din killd b4 cuz he killd jeezy shooter, he constantly n troble not that its a good thing but thats how most hood niggas act, and jeezy and tip let a this nigga n they bday party thang cuz they was scared to decline. jeezy the better musician but gucci acts as he claims
If jeezy and tip reply to gucci they are giving him what he wants more attention they are doing the right thing by not replying gucci is no way on their level they have moved on past him and his mad trying to bring them down
Stay out of the streets until you stand up to gucci mane. You talk all this thug shit, but you scared to box that nigga? Then why lie about being a thug? Yall rap niggas believe your own lies.
Im not buying! If he wanted attention, then why dont Jeezy just give it to him? Gucci mixtape is not even for sale, its for free. So busting Jeezy's ass wont really help him at all. He already said Jeezy was a scary nigga, but all Jeezy could say was, "He retarded" Like dude, your not going to reply to him saying you scary? You not gonna fight this nigga? I think Jeezy is another fake rapper, solely based on that.
