Band Declines Offer To Play With Breezy Because Of Rihanna Assault

Chris Brown has tried his absolute best to distance himself from the 2009 domestic abuse case with Rihanna that has haunted him since, but it doesn't seem he will escape the reputation anytime soon. Irish band Original Rude Boys declined to open for Brown in Dublin, citing that playing alongside Chris Brown would send the wrong message to their fans.

One member of the band Sean Walsh explained their decision in an interview. "Even though it's a huge opportunity to play in the 02 with a major hip-hop star and a substantial fee was offered, we are completely against Chris Brown's assault on Rihanna," explained Walsh. "In addition, with our latest single 'Blue Eyes' being about domestic violence it goes against everything we are about as a band and supporting Chris Brown would send out the wrong message to our fans.

How do you feel about Breezy still catching flack for the almost four-year-old infamous incident?

There always an excuse for beating up a woman (or anyone for that matter)..its just a matter of it being a good or bad reason, Theres two sides to every story, and im sure we're not gettin both..say what u will about hitting a woman, if she steps up to the plate, she must wanna play ball..I think ppl need to forgive and forget, especially when the woman involved has obviously done so...most of the people judging probably have worse skeletons in their closet anyway..

Yes what CB did back in 2009 when he was 20yrs old was really f*cked up. There’s no excuse for beating up a woman….None. However how long are people gonna keep hating on CB when there are thousands of young black men committing way worse crimes than that? Not all of us but most of us like myself from the streets have all done really bad things that we truly regret when we were 20yrs. Keep it Real! If we’re going keep bashing what CB did than we need to go hard on all young black men across the country. I truly feel that the police knew what they were doing when they leaked that photo of Rihanna!

Yes keep in mind he was 19-20. So you're right about the difference between men and boys. So maybe we should had judged him as a "boy" instead of "man". Of course him being young doesn't excuse him for what he did but damn come on how long are we going keep hating him for something he did when he was 19???
