Long Beach rapper Snoop Dogg made an interesting business move recently, as he took an equity stake in Sanctiond, the automotive brand run by celebrated tattoo artist Mister Cartoon.
Snoop intends to serve as the company's global ambassador in addition to his stake. Co-founder Atticus Firey spoke on Snoop joining the team, telling AllHipHop, "This is not a traditional endorsement deal for Snoop Dogg. In addition to being our business partner, he will provide global endorsement services, marketing support and strategic consulting for the brand. Snoop Dogg's global recognition, trendsetting status and super cool persona enhances our ability to bring new consumers and revived energy into this category."
With his new partnership, Snoop will be able to launch his own line of car related products, something he says he has always wanted to do. "We've been wanting to do this for years," said Snoop. "There are no cool brands that represent our lifestyle and with Sanctiond we are excited to bring our communities together through a common love of our cars and the shine we can put on them."
