A music producer by the name of Michael Jonzun is suing the Michael Jackson estate and Paul Anka over their collaborative song "This Is It". Jonzun says that he's owed $24 million for his role in the creation of the song back in 1983, which was originally titled "I Never Heard". The song became known as "This Is It" in 2009, and now the music producer wants his cut.
TMZ reports that Jonzun filed the lawsuit in Massachusetts federal court, and the suit claims that he owns 1/3 of the track but never received his share of the proceeds. Paul Anka responded by telling TMZ that he had never heard of Michael Jonzun until the filing of the lawsuit, and says Jonzun doesn't own any part of "This Is It", calling his claims "BS".
