After music fans learned that rap veteran Eminem was shooting a music video to singer Skylar Grey's upcoming single, many were absolutely ecstatic. A few photos of the two artists were released, showing them on set of the video shoot which takes place in Em's hometown of Detroit. Eminem is featured on Grey's first single titled "C'Mon Let Me Ride", in which he sings the hook of Queen's classic track "Bicycle Race".
Not only is Eminem featured on the first single, but he actually executive-produced Grey's entire debut album "Don't Look Down", which is slated to release in 2013. In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Grey revealed that it was Eminem's idea to to add the hook to the song, and also discusses her experience of with working Slim Shady, as they've collaborated in the past.
"That was an Eminem move. The first time I heard his verse, he had added that part in as well and it made me laugh, so we kept it. I love hearing Marshall change his voice like that and just, like, be a character, play a character, so I thought that was funnier, personally."
"I'm grateful and blessed to have [Eminem] on my side because not only is he one of the biggest artists in the world, but I also really trust his ears and sensibilities, which is a hard thing to find. Marshall can hear gold through the shittiest-sounding recordings."
