In a very strange series of events, blogger Byron Crawford says Rap Genius founder Mahbod Moghadam threatened to kill him in a chat room. Crawford claims Moghadam was irritated with him after he accused the Rap Genius editors of having racist conversations in their editor's chat room. Moghadam has maintained that hackers were the cause of the racism, but the suspicious Crawford isn't buying it. During an online conversation after being accused, Moghadam said he would "kill" Crawford "if he could."
"Homeland security might want to look into this Mahbod Moghadam," said Crawford. "I know he's from Iran. Was he born there? Is he allowed to be here? People from Iran can't just come over to the U.S. and threaten to kill U.S. citizens in secret racist chat rooms, can they? My ancestors were slaves who helped build this country!"
