Chi-Ali Shows Love to DMX, Calls Him O.G. Battler

While speaking on MTV's "RapFix Live", recently-released-from-prison rapper Chi-Ali had nothing but positive things to say about DMX. He paid respects to the Yonkers legend, pointing out how X was one of the first true rap battlers.

"Much love to DMX," said Ali. "X been around for a long time, and for those that don't know, X was dope. X was one of those dudes that was battling. He was one of those original battle dudes that was going around and was just smoking dudes."

Ali went on, "Energy and his rhymes, he had like eight million rhymes. If you were better than him, you didn't have more rhymes than him."

The Native Tongues rapper also said he believes DMX is in a good place, and his life is headed in a better direction.
