Former Kansas City Chief running back Larry Johnson was arrested in Vegas Friday morning after an altercation with a woman who claims Johnson strangled her until she almost blacked out.

Johnson is now claiming the story is bogus. The former 1,000 yard rusher told TMZ that the woman, who is an old acquaintance, wouldn't leave his hotel room following a wild night of partying. Allegedly, the woman kicked and slapped Johnson when he tried to make her leave. Once he got her outside, Johnson says she tried to kick the door down, something that would've probably been caught on surveillance cameras, proving she was never unconscious.

The former running back said he tried to explain his side of the story to Police on the scene, but they refused to listen, possibly because of Johnson's prior arrests.

"I know people will try to pass judgment on me from my previous record but I didn't do what I am being charged with," Johnson told TMZ.

Hopefully Police will get to the bottom of the situation.
