When it was announced that female rapper Nicki Minaj would be joining the judges on "American Idol", fans of the popular show became excited. But the excitement quickly turned to contempt for Nicki and fellow "AI" judge Mariah Carey, that is. Rumors of a feud between the two surfaced awhile back but both denied those allegations. However, video footage obtained by TMZ shows the two artists engaged in a heated argument during which Nicki was heard cursing out Carey.
It was unclear as to why the Young Money artist went on that verbal rampage, but things are beginning to come to light. According to TMZ, sources close to Nicki say Mariah started the shouting match by calling Minaj a b****. The sources also mentioned that Mariah continually brags about her career accomplishments to everyone, much to the dismay of Nicki.
The source states "She [Mariah] keeps bringing up how many records she's sold, name dropping people she's worked with, how many tours she's done, and how many Grammys or awards she's won. Nicki is tired of it."
