Despite having several release date changes and dropping more towards autumn than the summer, G.O.O.D. Music's compilation album "Cruel Summer" managed to debut at no. 2 on the Billboard Top 200. The Kanye West-led LP moved just over 216,000 copies in its first week, which is more than its 170-190k projection. The group's debut album was topped only by Pink's "The Truth About Love" project which sold 280,960 copies.

While "Cruel Summer" did post impressive numbers during its first week of sales, it did not come close to previous Kanye West records. His collaboration with Jay-Z on 2011's "Watch The Throne" album sold a whopping 436,000 in its first week. And in the previous year, Kanye's 2010 album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" posted a staggering 496,000 in opening week sales.

"Cruel Summer" is now available on iTunes.
