The controversy over the wild touchdown call made at the last second of the Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks game continues.  The play in question involved Green Bay's defense-man M.D. Jennings and Seattle's wide receiver Golden Tate, as they both came down with their hands on the football in the end zone for the last play of the game. It is clearly visible that Green Bay's Jennings had a much greater possession of the ball, as he had it clutched to his chest with both hands wrapped tightly around it, while Tate only had one hand, maybe two, trying to grasp it as well.

The replacement officials initially made opposing calls about the catch.  One waved it off as it being no touchdown and an interception, while the other official, Craig Ochoa, ruled it a touchdown.  Replay Official Howard Slavin ended up halting the game to take another look at an instant replay in order to get the full scope of who really caught the ball.  Due to the rule of a "simultaneous catch", referee Wayne Elliott determined that there was no defining evidence to overturn the call, and thus they awarded Tate with the touchdown, which allowed the Seahawks to win the game.

What makes matters even more interesting, and also further enrages many fans of the game, is that the NFL Officiating Department reviewed the play today, September 25th, and supported the referee's call not to overturn the touchdown call.
