Chris Brown went back to court for a probation progress report hearing stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna and despite testing positive for drugs during a random screening, the judge decided not to revoke his probation.

Chris appeared in the courtroom for the first time in over a year. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said community service logs from Brown's home state of Virginia, as well as further review, was needed to determine if he followed his probation.

According to reports, Chris admitted to smoking up in California, where he has a medical prescription, but he failed the test in Virginia, where it's illegal.

Another hearing has been set for November to review more probation records. Based on reports, Chris Brown needed 120 hours to complete his community service, but his lawyer claims he has completed 1,400 hours of service - that's equivalent to doing 8 hours of service a day for an astonishing 175 days.
