According to Rohan Marley, father to five of Lauryn Hill's children, Wyclef Jean is fronting hard about his relationship with Lauryn in his new memoir. 'Clef claimed that after an affair in 1996, Hill made him believe she was pregnant with his child. Come to find out, the child was Marley's, not Wyclef's.
Rohan doesn't buy the story, saying Wyclef "knew from the jump that was my son from the day Lauryn was pregnant."
Rohan does admit that the two were having an affair before he was around, but that Wyclef actually hooked him and Lauryn up. From that time on, Marley says him and Lauryn spent so much time in the studio together that an affair with Wyclef wouldn't have even been possible. To him, the Haitan artist is "just saying false things to get book headlines."
Wyclef fired back at Marley and offered reasons for why his claims aren't a lie. "There is no way that I would have shown up in the hospital in that circumstance to wait for a baby to be born if it was not mine. The idea of a memoir is to tell the truth. I know that often the truth hurts, but a lie hurts even more."
