You would never believe it, but Tony Danza and Tupac Shakur really were homeboys. Danza stopped into Access Hollywood on Tuesday and discussed his new book, "I'd Like To Apologize For Every Teacher I Ever Had". Surprisingly, he also touched on his relationship with 2pac while the celebrated rapper was incarcerated.

"I was trying to make a point that since he had five bullet holes in him and he was in jail and he's the same guy that wrote 'Dear Mama' and did all those great acting roles, I said, 'Maybe there is a better way to do this. Maybe, I know you can't be a goodie two-shoes in your business, but maybe there is a way to inspire kids," said Tony, talking about his initial discussions with Pac.

"I said, 'Because you have such a great influence, responsibility comes with that," Tony went on. "He wrote me back and said, 'Thanks for understanding me.'"

The two continued to write to each other while 2pac was in jail, and even got to meet before the rapper died tragically in 1996.
