Young Money representatives Drake and Nicki Minaj heard their names called at the MTV Video Music Awards Thursday night. The next night both of them, along with label head Lil Wayne, were honored at the BMI Awards which took place at Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.
Drizzy and Weezy were presented with "Songwriters of the Year", which marks the second consecutive time the Toronto rapper has won that award. Nicki was also able to keep it in the YMCMB family by winning Song of the Year for her track "Superbass."
Other notable names who took home awards were the likes of Pop Wansel and Mac Miller. Wansel won Producer of the Year while Miller won the first BMI Social Star Award, which is given to the person with the most votes via Twitter.
