Lupe Fiasco Opts Not to Work With Kendrick Lamar

Lupe Fiasco recently shared his opinion on fellow rappers Kendrick Lamar and Blu, saying that while he is a fan of both emcees, he doesn't feel it's necessary to collaborate with them on new music. In an interview, he further explained that he would rather remain just a fan of the two artists because he feels working together could possibly "taint" his existing appreciation for them.

"I've bumped into Kendrick in different places and what have you. But it's less me wanting to collaborate and it's more me just wanting to be a fan. I don't want to be a part of it, not off of ego or pride but it's more so to let me just watch it."

The Chicago rapper continued to touch on the subject, insisting that he just wants to experience the careers of the young artists from a distance.

"Let me enjoy it from a distance and not feel I've got to be a part of it to make this. I just want to see them succeed and it not to be tainted. Sometimes when you meet somebody, it kind of taints what they make. It becomes a different experience. I'd rather just stay a fan. I don't want to come backstage. I'm happy in the crowd. But we'll see."

Lupe is starting to talk a lot. I would rather hear him more on the music tip than n a interview. But he said he wanted to be a professor, and talking is what they do. But on another note he needs 2 stop talking noise about OBAMA, he starting 2 act like a Uncle Tom as ni__a.

truth and uncle tom is two different things lil homie..don't get caught up in the hype of just because hes a black man u shouldn't check him out and see what hes about...see thats the game they want u to get caught up in..its called being distracted away from the real.lupe is one of very few artist that are upholding the real foundation of hip hop which is talkin about things around u other then money cars and hoes. that type of shit is easy to talk about..but to speak up takes guts especially in a world thats shuttin down people for opinions

Kendrick is ok but i dont hear the big hype, most people mention him becuase he is backed by Dr Dre and the majors, most people will follow what everyone else is talking about, he can dropped this year and people will stop paying attention,, when Bishop Lamant was with Dr Dre everyone was talking about him all the rappers would talk about him, but when he was gone from after math u dont see to much about him from all the sites and mainstream or rappers mention him, most artist know behind the scenes who is going to be pushed heavy by the labels and they all jump on the wave when asked who u feeling who u like right now u will always hear most people and artist say the same name not cause that person is all that but cause thats who is about to be pushed heavy by majors and they know it, i actually think Bishop Lamant is way better than kendrick, but what ever sticks for the people
