Lance Armstrong has been regarded by many as a hero over the years after he overcame his battle with cancer and went on to win more Tour de France cycling races than anyone in history, making it 7 titles for his career. But his recent declaration, in which he stated "enough is enough", means that he will no longer dispute charges brought up by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. He will ultimately be stripped of all his titles and will face a lifetime ban from the sport.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency has brought several charges against the cyclist over the years, but they've all been dismissed up until this point. He has decided not to pursue the matter any further, which is not an admission of guilt by Armstrong, as he continues to maintain his innocence. Reports say that he's moved on from the situation to spend more time with his family and focus on his Livestrong Foundation created for other cancer patients and survivors.

"I know who won those seven Tours," Armstrong said in a statement. "The toughest event in the world where the strongest man wins. Nobody can ever change that. Especially (USADA CEO) Travis Tygart."

The decision to strip Armstrong of his titles will forever taint his career and legacy. But what he and his foundation stand for goes way beyond sports and that's how many people will remember his legacy as time goes on.

Do you think Lance Armstrong deserves to have his titles stripped from him, as well as face a lifetime ban from the sport he dominated? Let us know.
