It happens sometimes in hip hop that an emcee decides to go in a new direction, and finding a new stage name can help with the transition. Other times, rappers may realize their stage name is kind of wack -- so they change it to something with more bite.

"live from the bbq" 1991 Before he dropped his own album. he was that kid in the streets of Queens known as Nasty Nas...You only get a pass if you under 25yrs old, dont own computer and Gucci Mane isn't one of your top 5 (dead or alive) lol. Other than that you can check some his other songs where he actually say "I dropped the Nasty from my name". SMH
