Young Money members Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj have linked together on Weezy's upcoming "Dedication 4" mixtape which is due to drop next week. Nicki revealed in a recent interview that she recorded a freestyle for the fourth installment of the mixtape series and explained how it came to be part of the project.
"I usually pick the beat when me and Wayne do something," she said. "I went to Miami and I started grilling him like, 'Hey, why don't you lecture me anymore?' and he says, 'You made it already. I ain't got to tell you s***.'"
Nicki then explained how she demanded to be featured on the much anticipated DJ Drama-produced tape.
"He was working on the mixtape and I said, 'Excuse me, I need to be on that mixtape,' and he said, 'Aight, whatever you wanna do.' So I just went into the other room and recorded on this particular beat that I'm sure my fans are gonna be very happy that I touched. I'm really excited for the kids to hear."
Look out for Wayne's new tape to be released next week.
