Former running back for the New York Giants Brandon Jacobs will be breaking tackles for the San Francisco 49ers this year, but he still finds the time to rip into his old rivals, the New York Jets. In a recent interview with CBSSports, Jacobs made it well known that he's had enough of the Tim Tebow/Mark Sanchez discussions and labels that aspect of the Jets team "a circus". He also says he's tired of the Jets looking to be more popular instead of winning games.

"And it's always going to be like that. They were in the AFC Championship Game twice in a row, but the year after that the Giants win the Super Bowl. That discredits everything as far as the Battle of the City. They can't ever one-up the Giants — not in my eyesight; not in anyone else's eyesight. They can never do that. They keep trying, but they're doing it the wrong way."

He referred to all the talk regarding the Jets' quarterback situation as "a circus", saying it's been going on for too long.

"All this stuff surrounding Tebow and Sanchez," Jacobs said. "I truly think it's going to be Sanchez. He's going to be the guy. He's got to be the guy. He's the natural quarterback out of the two. That's just my opinion. I shouldn't be speaking of their team, but I'm just so tired of reading and hearing of everything over there ... and it's mid-August. It's like: Are you kidding me? Camp's not even over."

Jacobs' former Giants teammates weren't surprised to hear about his comments.

"You get what you see", running back Ahmad Bradshaw said of Jacobs. Wide receiver Victor Cruz also shared his thoughts on Jacobs. "Brandon Jacobs has a unique way of talking about opposing teams, let's put it that way," Cruz said. "Now that he's out of here, I'm almost scared of what he'll say now."
