It was previously reported by TMZ that former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson was found guilty of domestic battery long before his days as a professional athlete. And in the second episode of this seasons "Hard Knocks" series, footage of head coach Joe Philbin relieving Chad of his duties with the team was captured on film.

In that particular segment, Chad apologized numerous times for his highly publicized arrest and in an attempt to avoid being released, he simply stated "Coach, I've never been in trouble before ... ever." But reports of a domestic abuse case dating back 12 years ago says otherwise.

It's been well documented that Johnson has never been in any trouble during his professional career. Surely, that's what he was referring to during his explanation. But nevertheless, it seems as if he'll enter this upcoming NFL season a free agent once again.
