Months ago, Jay-Z announced his "Made in America" festival which will be commencing at the beginning of September in Philadelphia. He helped form the lineup of artists who will be performing at the two-day festival and now he plans to capture the event on film. With the help of Steve Stoute, Jay-Z is looking to film a documentary on "Made in America" according to the New York Post.
The two will be producing the documentary together along with "8 Mile" producer Brian Grazer with direction being headed up by Ron Howard.
"The festival showcases 20 pre-eminent artists that speak to the new generation," said Grazer. "I am producing the film with Steve Stoute and Jay. Ron is directing. It is going to be born through Jay-Z's perspective...how he puts the event together. Jay stayed the king for a very long time...I can't even begin to explain how he is capable of remaining relevant. He is a phenom, like a musical Michael Jordan."
Apart from this, Jay-Z also has another documentary brewing as it was recently announced that he and Kanye West would be releasing one that captures the making of their "Watch The Throne" album.
