Floyd Mayweather Says Casino Owes Him $61 Million

Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, who is currently imprisoned, says a casino owes him $61 million and he has now taken legal action against them. Floyd filed a $61 million claim in federal bankruptcy court against Resorts Development Group II LLC, which owns Country Crossing casino.

According to The Dothan Eagle, Mayweather contends that he loaned the company $4 million back in May of 2010. He says he was to be reimbursed for his initial investment in addition to another $1 million in interest by June of 2010. If the company was late on paying the money back on the set date, interest of $100,000 a day was to accrue, which is how Floyd came up with a total of $61 million.

The casino remains closed after it was raided last week.

No judge would ever enforce the usurious interest rate imposed. It's like if a drug dealer sued because somebody didnt pay them! Judges cant enforce illegal practices! If Floyd keeps lending out millions of dollars he's going to end up like Tyson!!

I hope Floyd gets his 4 million back but I dont think he will. When a company goes bankrupt and raided by the fed most likely the people involved in the scam will just go to prison and the investors end up getting nothing. Unless, the investors is part of the govt like the Bernie Maddoff scandal. I hope Floyd gets his money back but most likely he wont, the guy who scammed him will go to prison though. Id rather have my money back than some guy going to prison.
