The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards are a little more than a month away and the nominees have already been announced. Earlier today, it was revealed that Drake and Rihanna have received the most nominations in the upcoming award show.
The two were nominated for Video of the Year with Rihanna's "We Found Love" going up against Drake's "Take Care". Rihanna's "We Found Love" video is also up for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video while the visual for her "Where Have You Been" track lands nominations for Best Choreography and Best Visual Effects.
Drake's video for "HYFR", which featured a Bar-Mitzvah re-enactment, receives a nod for Best Hip-Hop Video while his "Take Care" joint is up for Best Male Video, Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography.
The 2012 VMAs will go down at the Staples Center in Los Angeles live on September 6th.
