Ryan Lochte Restricted From Wearing Grill During Medal Ceremony

The gold medalist 400 IM American swimmer, Ryan Lochte, was threatened that he would not be given his gold medal during the medal ceremony, if he chose to wear a red, white, and blue grill to honor the Olympians who came before him. An Olympic official specifically told him that he would not be given his medal if he wore the piece of teeth jewelry.
Do you think that was a little harsh, or should were the officials right for preventing Lochte from wearing the American flag grill in the first place?

OF COURSE RYAN LOCHTE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO WEAR HIS GRILL. THIS MAN WON A GOLD MEDAL IN A "SO CALLED" FREE COUNTRY. THE SMALL PERCENTAGES OF THOSE WHO CONTROL THE MAJORITY OF THE NATIONS WEALTH CONTROL EVERYTHING. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT A HE WAS TREATED LIKE A CHILD. AN OLYMPIC OFFICIAL THREATENED HIM. OLYMPIC OFFICIALS GROW UP.
