Sylvia Woods, the "Queen of Soul Food", died yesterday after a bout with Alzheimer's. Her "Sylvia's" restaurant in Harlem has been a soul food staple since the 60s.

Sylvia Woods moved to New York and in 1954, worked at a restaurant called Johnson's Luncheonette. She eventually bought the restaurant and the rest is delicious Harlem history. Mrs. Woods is survived by four children, Van, Bedelia, Kenneth, and Crizette, who are working together to keep the family business going. Considering it's rich legacy, they shouldn't have a very difficult time.
