Up and coming Detroit rapper/battle rapper Calicoe is seriously under the microscope by the Detroit police for putting up a video online with him boasting about all of the dogs and roosters he has to fight in some kind of underground gambling ring.
"We've gotta fuckin' zoo over here. Anybody want to fight some dogs? I hope we don't get indicted for that...that Michael Vick-type shit," Calicoe stated in the video. He later commented on the roosters that he had for fighting as well. "We fight them too. Anything that's got to do with gambling, put some money up, we do it."
Well now according to Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens, Calicoe's animals have been seized by the police and a full fledged investigation has been launched to find out if Calicoe and his crew are a part of a much larger underground dogfighting or animal fighting ring in general.
Kevin Hatman, a spokesman for the Michigan Humane Society issued the following statement regarding his feeling of comfort that the animals have been rescued and are being brought to his organization:
"We're just happy right now that the animals are going to be receiving high-quality care. I'm personally glad that the animals are here, and we're going to be taking a look at them."
