In today's mixtape culture, rappers have gotten away with using almost any instrumental they want to, as long as they don't make money off of it. New York rap legend Lord Finesse seems to be challenging that idea, as he has decided to sue Mac Miller for $10 million over use of Finesse's "Hip 2 Da Game" instrumental. Though Miller's song "Kool Aid and Pizza" was released for free on a mixtape, the track largely helped propel Miller to the status he's at now.

Finesse decided to file the suit after Datpiff ignored a cease and desist letter earlier this month. The lawsuit reportedly alleges "Copyright infringement, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, interference, deceptive trade practices, and a number of related state law claims."
