Anthony Davis hasn't even started his NBA career yet and he's already injured. During a workout on Saturday, the most recent #1 overall pick in the draft suffered a severely sprained ankle and will most likely sit out this summer's Olympic Games, according to sources around the league.

The reigning college player of the year for the University of Kentucky was invited, along with a host of other athletes, to work out with the USA Men's Basketball team. But the unfortunate injury will likely sideline him from the London games and playing for head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

This only adds to the list of injuries for Team USA, especially in the front court. The likes of Dwight Howard and Chris Bosh will not participate due to prior injuries and Lakers center Andrew Bynum says he's taking the summer off to rest his knees.

It was also reported not too long ago that two-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade will have to have surgery and won't be able to give it a go as well. Last year's league MVP Derrick Rose suffered a horrible injury in the first round of this year's postseason and will not play either.

The games are set to begin at the end of July.
