New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker and a group of his friends got into an altercation with security guards on Friday night as they tried to enter a venue in Aspen, Colorado.
Welker was celebrating his upcoming wedding when he and his entourage attempted to rush into a venue which was holding the weekend's 30th annual Aspen Food & Wine Classic.
Witnesses and other sources stated that Welker and his group tried to skip by the check-in area and were tackled by security. They wouldn't go down quietly and demanded they be let in the venue right away.
One source said "Security tried to subdue the group. Security then physically restrained [Welker] and his group to break everything up. Security calmed them down and kicked them off the property".
Welker and his posse were not arrested for their actions.
