The Boston Celtics were able to capture a championship when they first put together "The Big Three" in '07-'08. But since then, they've come up short in the playoffs.
Their most recent elimination came at the hands of the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals. And as their summer commences, it will be interesting to see if any of the team's veterans make a return.
According to a source close to the team, the Big Ticket Kevin Garnett isn't necessarily a lock to be in a Celtics uniform if the organization decides to rebuild the team.
"Kevin's very loyal, and he hates change," the source said. "But I think it'd be hard for him to come back if it's a total rebuild. If he's going to play, he has to be playing for something.
"I think he'll wait to see what's going to happen. If Danny [Ainge] can give him a solid answer right away, then maybe he gives them an answer, too. But KG's going to want to know who he'll be playing with."
KG and teammate Ray Allen both become unrestricted free agents on July 1st. Would you like to see them back in Boston?
