New York Giants offensive lineman David Diehl was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Sunday night after he crashed his car into multiple parked cars in Queens.  Nobody else was hurt in the accident as Diehl drove on his own to Astoria on Sunday.

Diehl was reported in Astoria, watching Croatia beat Ireland 3-1 in their Euro 2012 matchup at a local bar, and was also instagram'ed by other fans at the bar who were also rooting for Croatia.  Diehl boasted his Croatian heritage, wearing his national team's jersey Sunday evening.

"The officers suspected he was intoxicated," a police source said.

Diehl registered a .18 on the Breathalyzer test, just over twice the legal .08 limit, according to police.

Formal charges are penind early Monday morning, although it's likely Diehl may get off pretty easy considering he has no prior record at all, and has done a lot of charity work with the Giants.

His agent Peter Schaffer refused to comment on the arrest, however called Diehl "one of, if not the classiest, most humble... New York Giants ever."  Diehl has two-years left on his six-year, $31-million deal and was a Pro Bowler for the Giants in 2009.
