Law enforcement in Boston are looking into an altercation that led to an alleged stabbing between a Boston Celtics fan and a fan of the Miami Heat.

According to witnesses, a 22-year old Celtics fan was stabbed in the right thigh by the alleged suspect outside of the TD Bank Garden. The attacker was reportedly wearing a Miami Heat jersey.

An argument began between the two over the result of Game 6 which saw the Miami Heat decimate the Boston Celtics. Both were apart of large groups of people and as the shouting intensified, "the unnamed suspect brandished a large switchblade and stabbed the victim in the right thigh," according to the police report.

According to the Boston Globe, the victim was taken to a Massachusetts hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

Boston police spokeswoman Nicole Grant said there have been no arrests made.
