Kid Cudi No-Show at Fifth Annual Roots Picnic

Kid Cudi was supposed to be a headliner on the second day of the 5th Annual Roots Picnic in Philly, however, the day-two headliner was nowhere to be found.
Instead of Kid Cudi performing, the fans talked The Roots to perform a set, with appearances by Freeway, Skillz and Jakk Frost. They performed for an additional hour, along with playing "The Seed 2.0".
Kid Cudi has yet to give a statement on why he wasn't at the show, however Roots leader ?uestlove apologized on his twitter for the absence.
"Sorry bout Cudi Philly. Show Goes On We Held You Down. #TheRootsPicnic2012," he said on his twitter account.

Hey Jeremy, great song/video & blog! It's refreshingly snrurisipg to see some depth and reflection in a song like this. He's actually lived out the fame dream and sharing with everyone that whatever ultimate happiness we imagine in that fame world is completely fake. It's actually pretty profound when you think of how many people our age see fame as the goal that would alleviate all their problems, and actually replicate the kind (empty) lifestyle they see in a mediated fame in the way they live their lives. It's pretty cool to imagine some Gen Y celebrities busting that bubble I'll try to play the song at the next campus party
