The list of famous individuals who have died since 2011, sadly continues.

The ever charismatic Richard Dawson, who hosted the famed TV show "Family Feud" from the years 1976-1985, and then for one year in 1994, just died yesterday, June 2nd, from his hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer.

Dawson probably achieved the incredible feat of receiving the most kisses from his female participants on "Family Feud", than any other game show host ever.  He was also a regular on "The Match Game," and whenever he was on the TV, his presence lit up the entire program.

His son Gary Dawson posted up the news on his Facebook page.

"It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my father passed away this evening from complications due to esophageal cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad, and a doting grandfather. He will be missed but always remembered..."

Richard Dawson was a kind man and loved by man.  At 79-years-old, he has become a heartwarming memory.  He will be greatly missed.

R.I.P. Richard.
