It wasn't just the Parisian natives who were ultra-excited for Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Watch The Throne" tour arriving in Paris. As would be expected, Jay-Z's loving and extremely talented wife Beyonce was there supporting her husband, along with fellow Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland, Justin Bieber, The Dream, and Gwyneth Paltrow. They were all situated in the front row for Jay and Kanye's first of two shows at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
This particular performance was a historic one, as Jay and Ye performed their hit, Grammy winning track "N*ggas in Paris", for a record breaking 11 times in one night! Hit-Boy, the producer of "N*ggas in Paris" crowd surfed at this epic performance, enjoying every moment of the welcoming crowd's energy.
Backstage, renowned film director and Knicks supporter Spike Lee met up with Jay-Z to enjoy a celebratory glass of wine. The performance by the incredibly talented duo of living legends left Spike in complete awe. Spike Lee had nothing but great things to say about the performance he witnessed by these legendary musicians.
"Tonight's show beat the ones I saw in NY, LA, and London. Jay-Z/Kanye drove the Paris crowd into hysteria," said Spike.
Hopefully some form of documentary footage will be released in the future which truly captures the many memorable moments of this unforgettable performance, so everyone around the world can forever enjoy the magic that took place on stage.
