Justin Combs' merit-based $54,000 scholarship to UCLA is still rubbing some people the wrong way. Recently, it was reported that taxpayers were hoping that Diddy's son would return his scholarship so someone less fortunate could possibly have a chance to obtain it.

The young athlete recently graduated high school and instead of receiving congratulations from people, Justin says he's been on the bad end of a lot of criticism which he feels should not be the case.

So he took to Twitter last night to let some of his critics know how he felt.

"Regardless what the circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! PERIOD. Regardless of what you do in life every1 is gonna have their own opinion. Stay focused, keep that tunnel vision & never 4get why u started", he tweeted.

UCLA also made a statement regarding the usage of athletic scholarships.

"There's a misconception out there that somehow athletic scholarships would take away money from low-income students who need need-based aid," school spokesman Ricardo Vazquez said. "That's not the case. Athletic scholarships are awarded strictly on the basis of athletic and academic ability."

Despite any type of negative press Justin has received since accepting the scholarship to UCLA, he had a great time celebrating his high school graduation and a number of pics were shared showing friends, family, and even celebrities showing up in support of the incoming UCLA freshman.
