Slaughterhouse Names Best Rap Albums of All Time

While doing an interview with Power 106's L.A. Leakers recently, Slaughterhouse members were asked to name their choices for the top rap albums of all time. In what may come as a surprise to some people is that both Crooked I and Joe Budden put Nas' It Was Written higher than his highly respected and acclaimed Illmatic album.
Crooked I began by saying, "That's like asking me if I was stranded on an island, what three CDs would I take with me. I'm a non-biased fan. I'm a fan of people from every region, from every market. That would be super tough but I would probably need [Tupac's] Makaveli in there. I would need [Jay-Z's] Reasonable Doubt and [Nas'] It Was Written. I'm one of those people who think It Was Written is harder and a better album than Illmatic."
Joe Budden followed Crooked I's opinion by putting It Was Written higher than Illmatic.
"I share that sentiment about It Was Written. It Was Written was a better album to me. There's really no debate if you slim It Was Written down to 40 minutes. I'll go with It Was Written. I'll go with The Great Adventures of Slick Rick and probably [Jay-Z's] Blueprint, maybe."
Royce Da 5'9 and Joell Ortiz moved on from Nas' It Was Written to put up a few other albums of their own.
"I gotta say Blueprint, [Notorious B.I.G.'s] Life After Death and [Dr. Dre's] The Chronic," said Royce.
"I'd say Reasonable Doubt, Life After Death and Donell Jones' Where I Wanna Be," said Joell.
