In case you were wondering, an extensive trip on a plane can actually cause a fatal blood clot to form in your lungs, or other areas of your body. Sitting and remaining immobile for long periods of time can halt the healthy blood flow inside of your body, causing a clot to form, and bad things follow. This is actually what almost happened to Ray J during his round trip to China, followed by his four hour drive to Las Vegas.
After initially releasing a statement saying that Ray J was hospitalized due to exhaustion and jet lag, his publicist released a new statement after Ray J was released from the hospital recently and cleared after having suffered from the fatal condition.
Ray J has been released from the hospital in Las Vegas and is back home in Los Angeles following an extensive battery of tests to make sure that he did not have a blood clot in his lungs, which is potentially a deadly condition that can occur following a long haul plane flight.
It is the same condition that took the life of hip-hop legend Heavy D last year. Ray J had arrived in Vegas Sunday following a 32 hour round trip from China and four hour drive to Las Vegas.
