Kreayshawn burst onto the musical scene last May of 2011 with her instant mega-hit "Gucci Gucci", which hit over 200,000 views in the first 48 hours that it was posted on YouTube. It has gone on to receive over 34 million views thus far, and her career has exploded since then. She's done magazine covers, traveled the world, held concert performances in front of thousands of fans, and now Kreay is moving on to really tackling the music realm with the release of her upcoming debut album.
The White Girl Mob leader announced recently that her debut album Somethin 'Bout Kreay will be released on August 14th, under the Columbia Records label.
Kreayshawn is really excited about her album release and is very proud of her accomplishments thus far. Here's what she had to say about the development of her career and what the future holds with the release of her album Somethin 'Bout Kreay:
"I feel so accomplished, having finished my album. I got to travel the world, perform for crowds of tens of thousands, be on covers of magazines all over the world, and finish a whole album in less than a year. I just want everyone to be ready for a mystical musical journey through genre and sound."
