IMO: "Throwback Thursday" Remember "Loon??" Check What He's Up to Now..
Remember former Bad Boy rapper, "Loon"?? Well now, he's a former Bad Boy gone Good Boy; I suppose.
If you aren't quite sure or don't remember who "Loon" was; let me either reintroduce him to you or introduce him to you for the first and last time.
Loon was formerly a part of P. Diddy's Bad Boy Records. While at Bad Boy, Loon released his self-titled debut album, Loon. He also made many guest appearances on both R&B and hip hop tracks.
In 2004, Loon left Bad Boy to start his own label, Boss Up Entertainment. Loon started his music career as a member of Mase's rap collective Harlem World. Yet, not shortly after, Loon started a feud with Mase after Mase dissed him on "I don't know officer" by saying "I don't know why Loon and Fabby don't just say that I'm their daddy." Mase implied that Loon stole his style.
Loon also found himself in a feud with Harlem rapper Jim Jones. This came about after Jones, commented badly on Loon on a Sub0 DVD. Loon released the album "Wizard of Harlem", which contains the track "Jimmy". The intro to Jimmy titled "Elmo", is where Loon pretending to be Sesame Street character Elmo and he calls Jones a bitch.
In addition, Loon made a about both Mase & Jim Jones entitled "Kill You" on the Wizard of Harlem, where he tells both rappers to give up their careers.
IMO, Oh the irony! How crazy is it that Loon advises Mase & Jim Jones to give up their career when that's what he eventually ended up doing. And, what is it with Bad Boy artist running and trying to find peace, god, or whatever it is that their looking for. Now, IMO that's what I find interesting.
Check out this interview "Loon" now known as Amir Junaid Muuhadith did with Big Ed, on the Deen Show.
IMO, I just want to wish "Loon" aka Amir Junaid Muuhadith the best of wishes in all of his future endeavors.
Take a trip down memory lane with P.Diddy's "I Need a Girl" pt.2, featuring Ginuwine, Loon, & Mario Winans
Enjoy!
