G-Dep Not Regretful of Murder Confession

Shortly, former Bad Boy rapper G-Dep will begin his 15-year prison sentence, and while he currently awaits to depart from a holding facility, Dep said confessing to the murder was something he had to do.
While being held at Rikers Island, G Dep spoke with the New York Post on his past decisions and how he now feels about them.
"Maybe at the end of serving time or after looking back, someone might feel differently. But now I feel what I did was right."
As he walked into the precinct in 2010, Dep said he acted in a responsible manner by giving his confession, citing a need for a clear conscience.
He received his sentencing a few weeks ago.

if this is the case, then why did he plead not guilty n take it 2 trial. What g-dep's thinking is damn...what made my dumb asz go and confess 2 a crime that would've remained a cold case...damn, now I gotta do 15 yrS.#puffhelpme
