The Family That Preys is the second of four films that does not star his most known character, Madea. It is also the second film that he directed that was not based off of one of his many stage plays. This film focuses on the intertwining of two families and the struggles they face through love and business.
There is adultery, and a load of lies and deceit that cause a downward spiral for many of the relationships in the film. It is an interesting character study too, to see how they each evolve from the beginning of the film and overcome or fall to the obstacles put before them.
Perry wrote, produced, directed, and acted in this film.
