Nas Puts All Collaborative Music on Hold

Nas has put out a couple of records so far off of his upcoming Life is Good album, and he's so focused on dropping the solo LP that he's set aside any potential collabos, including with fellow rap veterans Common and AZ.

While he didn't explicitly state that he wouldn't be hooking up with other artists in the future, Nas did say that his primary goal is to make sure his solo joint is released, since he hasn't dropped a solo album in almost four years.

"You know, we [AZ] were doing an Illmatic show with Rock the Bells. He came through and held a n*gga down. It's always good getting up with my n*gga. That album, we just had the 18th anniversary. We were just young bucks in the game, trying to get in. ... We'll always have that moment. It takes me back to the time when we were doing a lot of records together. But yeah, I've been four years away from a solo album. I'm just getting back into the game. Once I get back into the game, you never know what could happen."

Nas' good friend Common revealed months ago that he and the Queensbridge artist had plans for dropping a joint album that would be titled "NasDotCom", but the project never came into fruition.
