The murder trial of rapper Lil Boosie has taken several twists and turns since it began, and there was recently a new major development.

The man who Lil Boosie allegedly hired to commit the killing - Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding - had admitted to the killing from the start but has now changed his story, stating that he was lying when he made that confession.

He says that detectives threatened the well-being of him and his family, and that his mother and stepfather would be apprehended and thrown in jail while he would receive the death penalty. He also says that law enforcement told him Lil Boosie put a $25,000 bounty on his head.

In May of 2010, Louding initially stated he had nothing to do with the murder but then admitted to the killing not too long after that. Now two years later, he once again retracted his statement and said he had nothing to do with it.

When asked why he didn't tell the truth previously, Michael Louding replied "I have no idea. I'm telling the truth today.'' And when prosecutors asked if anything significant took place on the night of the homicide, he stated "No ma'am" and had the exact same response when asked if he participated in a killing that night.

One key factor that could contradict Louding's statements is his stomach tattoo. It's an image of an AK-47 rifle, and next to it reads Yo Boosie, who's next?'' When asked what it meant, Louding said "I don't know. It's just a tattoo". He said the ink was on his body before the deceased, Terry Boyd, came into the picture,

Boosie pleaded not guilty, but if found otherwise, he would face life in prison. His defense team previously mentioned that he was being targeted because of his rap artist stature.
