Dick Clark, the man who had the world at it's feet during American Bandstand and as he helped usher in the New Year around the world, passed away Wednesday at the age of 82.

Although he was known as "America's Oldest Living Teenager," a massive stroke in 2004 pointed signs toward the end.  His monologue in the 2011-12 New Years Rockin' Eve showcased his failing health.

Celebrities took to Twitter on Wednesday to react and pay respects to the man that helped others on their way to stardom, while quietly becoming a star himself.
