Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa has long been an outspoken critic of Barack Obama, which he took a step further over the weekend on his Twitter account.
Using typical shorthand for the site Grassley tweeted, "Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law."
The tweet was sent out to bash the president's remarks about the Supreme Court last week.
A spokesperson for Grassley sent out a statement about the tweet, saying "In his Tweet on Saturday, Sen. Grassley said that it doesn't speak well of any constitutional law professor to not understand Marbury v Madison, and that the people understand the independence of the judiciary."
